There are perhaps very few people in this world who are driven so much by the passion to help others that they can give up their personal goals and dedicate themselves to their vision. Benson Massey is one of the rare individuals who in spite of facing economic and other difficulties did not give up on his dream.
Benson started his life as a normal kid under the loving and guiding influence of his parents. However, economic hardships made him to quit studies and take up odd jobs to support his family. A heart full of hope and love continued to brave the situations and learning lives lessons well.
Benson’s fate made him join the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and he started his long-held dream of helping his fellowmen. The time he spent with the church in Bangalore made him grow as a human being and also learn the invaluable lessons of leadership and communication skills.
Later on Benson got married and became father of three kids. His fate took him to Dubai and eventually to Hawaii where he completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from BYU-Hawaii.
In spite of attaining success in his career, Benson wanted to pursue social work and hence started his individual ventures to help people in his own small way. His efforts culminated in the Abish Travels which won the 1st place in the BYUH CIE business plan competition in the year 2008. This plan entailed a call for providing transportation for call center employees.
Today, Abish Travels has extended its horizons and organizes tours and travels in the Golden Triangle in India.
Benson still holds on to his dreams of helping others and is doing his bit towards his fellowmen. He is a man of words and knows how to keep his commitment. His hard work and dedication can be a beacon for youngsters.
